Tuesday Sep 26, 2023

Over the next 24 hours, 1,000 residential homes in the United States will suffer from a fire that requires the response of the local Fire Department. Highly respected and well known  Fire Chief Jim Duffy (retired-Wallingford CT) joins me to discuss these "routine" residential house fires and makes the case that nothing about them is really routine. We'll talk about his highly acclaimed program, "It's Just a Routine House Fire" and discuss things we can do in our volunteer firehouses to be better prepared and operate more successfully at these common, but not so routine, incidents. The Chief will also take a very serious look at what it means to be a true professional firefighter in today's seemingly very angry and mean spirited world.
